PLAID AND DUCK BOOTS

Fashion, Uncategorized

Hi everyone, happy Thursday once again! I hope your week has been going well. My first full week of the spring semester is over and I am very excited about all of the classes I’m taking. It’s enough to keep me pretty busy, but I don’t like to be sitting around all of the time anyway.

This week’s outfit is one of my faves. To be honest, I usually wear this with some gray leggings, but for the purpose of this post, I decided to go with some jeans so you could see it dressed up a little.

These boots are seriously my favorite ever, and since coming back to school, they have been my go-to shoes since it’s been so cold recently. As I’m writing this it’s 20 degrees outside! They are super warm and so cute. Both of my parents actually own a pair of these, and they’ve had them for a long time, so they are for sure coming back into style haha.

This bag might be one of my favorites, like ever. Everyone at Miami seems to carry a Longchamp bag. My mom got me this Calvin Klein one for my birthday from Marshall’s, so it was an amazing deal, around $30!

I hope your 2017 is going well so far!

RED LIPS & WINTER CARDIGANS

Fashion

Hi y’all! I’m back from Florida, and that means I’m back in colder weather with warmer clothes. The weather was so wonderful down there, and it was so nice to get out of the Ohio cold and onto the beach! I’ll be sharing my trip with you all next week, so stay tuned for that.

This was my favorite cardigan over the Christmas holidays. Even though it’s past Christmas, I couldn’t help but post about it. I’m still super sad that it’s over; it really is the most wonderful time of the year. The rest of the outfit turned out to be very black, which I had no intentions of in the first place. Once I put the top with the high-waisted jeans, though, I seriously liked it. I really never expected to wear those two things together. The cardigan definitely tones it all down, though.

Another thing I wanted to share with you guys is the lipstick I’m wearing. You might have noticed that I wore it in my last post as well! It’s Rimmel’s Kate Moss #107 (a Zoella fave, if any of you know her). It’s definitely worth picking up for the winter months. Another essential is definitely the booties! They’re from Forever21. I’ve only had them for two months, but they’ve gotten a lot of use already. They aren’t too high, so they’re super easy to walk around in!

Apologies for the link of the top, it is no longer on the H&M website, so I found it on a different site, in case you guys were interested!

In case you’re wondering, the sleigh behind me was mine and my sister’s when we were younger. My dad cleaned it up, added a bow, and put it on our front porch for the holidays. It is seriously so cute, and I definitely want to do that on my front porch someday.

What was your holiday staple item in your wardrobe? Let me know in the comments!

MAROON & KATE SPADE

Fashion, Uncategorized

Yay, it’s officially winter! It doesn’t really seem like it here, considering the lack of snow, but that’s Ohio for you. Lately I’ve been snuggling up on the couch at home, enjoying my time off from school. What have you been doing with your holiday so far?

One of the things I’m really into recently is this low ponytail. It seriously takes me 30 seconds to do and it looks cute too! I just pull it back and then pull a couple of shorter front pieces out, and bam, it’s perfect. It’s my go-to hairstyle and it hasn’t failed me yet.

The biggest thing I wanted to show you today is this beautiful Kate Spade purse (linked below). I got this last Christmas, and I’ve used it almost every single day since. It’s the perfect size for me, and it is small enough that I won’t carry anything I don’t need. If you’re someone who carries a lot of things in their purse, this one might not be for you.

I originally had this outfit paired with some black booties, but I wanted the look to be a little more relaxed to go with my ponytail, so I put on my white Converse instead. These are my go-to shoes at the moment. No matter how many people tell me these are a spring and summer shoe, I will never listen to them and continue wearing them whenever I want.

Seriously though, this maroon color is my absolute fave this time of year! I was so excited to put this outfit together to show you guys. If you could see my closet, it’s absolutely full of this color. I’m seriously in love.

Tonight I am celebrating Christmas with my mom, dad, and sister. We are opening our presents and watching one more Christmas movie before we fly out to St. Petersburg tomorrow afternoon! If you’re new here, I am a cheerleader at Miami University, and our football team is going to St. Pete’s for the bowl game. I’m going down there to cheer them on the day after Christmas! Wish us Redhawks tons of luck (please)! And don’t worry, I’ll be sharing my trip with you all. (:

I hope you all are enjoying your holiday!

ONE LAST FALL DRESS

Fashion
Happy Saturday! This week has been a breeze, and it’s pretty surprising. My professors have gone pretty easy on us since we’ve gotten back from Thanksgiving break. Seriously, this has been the best semester of college so far, and I really hope the next one is just as good.

This week I wanted to share with you my favorite fall dress ever! Since November has come to an end, I figured it’s time to break out the sweaters and scarves, but not until I show you the best fall dress I’ve ever owned.

It’s from Charlotte Russe, and I got it last year around this time. I don’t think it’s in stores anymore, which is super sad, but I’ll try to link a similar one down low for you! My boots are from Naturalizer, and my purse is from Fossil, and they match perfectly! I’m also wearing boot socks that match the dress, but my camera died so I couldn’t get any more shots of the outfit (don’t worry, I’ll link them below).

Next week I have 5 days of gift guides for all of you who might be having trouble getting gifts for your family or besties. So be on the lookout for that starting on Monday!

Do you have a favorite fall outfit or dress? Let me know in the comments!

SUEDE SKIRTS & SUNSHINE

Fashion

Another week has gone by and I have another outfit to post. I love Hollister, and I got this top and skirt from there in the clearance section in the back. I’m not even kidding you, they were $15. Combined. I’m a girl with expensive taste, but I’m a bargain-hunter at heart.

On another note, it is currently week 11 of 16 of the semester. I can’t even believe that this is my 3rd semester at Miami. It’s been filled with a couple downs, but mostly ups. But I’ll be sharing my experiences of the semester in a later post. Speaking of, recently I have been exploring places on campus that I don’t usually venture to. Kofenya has suddenly become my new favorite coffee shop, and it ranks over Starbucks for sure. It is so cozy and the aesthetic is just incredible. It is going to be the perfect place to hole up and study when it gets colder and closer to Christmas!

I’m still working on editing my photos so the quality is a little better for you all, but I can only seem to get it the way I want it about half of the time. If you have any suggestions for Photoshop editing, leave them in the comments below.

What is your favorite fall trend?

 Xoxo, Kate B

Once again I give my beautiful friend, Maddie, photography credit.
